As time passes empires rise and crumble, entire civilizations become echoes and myths.
Long after the events of Staigdin, a new empire blinded by faith and misguided virtue rises from the ashes of the Agathi Empire. Presenting themselves as spiritual successors of the ancient global power, they forge their religion on a new version of the god Ilan, they now call him the Luminous One and believe to have captured his essence in a technological core deep in the vaults of their cathedral.
They train their disciples from infancy by hooking them into devices that download information straight into their brain, run mental simulations for training purposes and scan their minds for unauthorized thoughts to delete. One of their disciples develops a natural defense mechanism that shield his mind from the scan. In time becomes a rebel who sneaks out and causes mayham and the machine never reveals it to the Ministry. In adulthood he defects completely, armed with a deep understanding of the world and of the system, and knowing exactly what destabilizes it, he rallies up the civilian population into a chaotic revolution that eventually overthrows the regime. The liberated world now calls itself Pax Magenta and is trying to rebuild itself anew.
The rebel priest, not wanting to take any kind of leadership or administrative role retreats to a secluded life in an abandoned cathedral in the Wastlands outside of Pax Magenta.
The Ministry of the Luminous One makes one last stand, trying to chain the oldest god of the Staigi, Eth, to an orbital transmitter to use him as a mindwipe weapon and reset the world. They manage to capture and severely damage his mind, wiping his memory but also, stupidly lose him. The amnesiac god wanders into the abandoned cathedral, tells the priest the mess his in and lets Siderius execute a ridiculous plan that results in both of them hijacking the satellite and taking permanent residence in it. They now broadcast their own radio show from their new orbital home, that is highly irreverent and very unhinged purely to make sure that the people never fall into conformist complacency again, becoming Pax Magenta's new administration main source of headaches as they try to run a new society.
While I put a lot of thought and care into the events and lore of Staigdin, Pax Magenta is my mental playground. It is very much a self insert fanfiction of my own story, a place where I will do meta commentary and campy over the top hijinks just because. At this point I do have a lot of lore, characters and insane actions that take place in this world but I don't intend to make it a full coherent story. Instead expect chaos, expect non-sense, expect real world commentary, memes, tumblr style absurdity, random fanfiction or references to fandoms I like and a whole lot of dirty jokes. Stay tuned!
